Mental Health Initiatives

Education and Support

As a society and especially in ethnic minorities, mental illness is still stigmatized, and we don’t always understand how to care for our mental health in the same way that we do our physical health. This implies that people may be unsure about how to help a friend, family member or who is struggling with mental illness, or where to get help for their own mental health.

Given the current situation with the pandemic, it’s important to know that we have people to talk to and know we can rely on each other therefore classes are given to the community to gain the right knowledge and advice about mental health and to know that there is a safe space.
